Kaufman County Sheriffs investigators have charged a man with attempted burglary of a habitation.

Gary Burrow age 28, of Forney, Texas is recovering from a gunshot wound from an incident this past Sunday. Kaufman County investigators say Burrow was shot as he attempted to forcibly gain entry to a Forney couples Melody Lane home in Forney Texas.

Investigators say a man who lives in the 14000 block of Melody Lane, in Forney, Texas called 911 to report someone trying to break into his residence. When deputies arrived at the scene they reportedly found the suspect Gary Burrow shot. Mr. Burrow was taken into custody and transported to a Dallas hospital for treatment, and later formally charged with attempted burglary of a habitation, which is a Third Degree Felony.

Mr. Burrow is currently held in the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center.
