Forney Santa Cops Events for 2009
In October of 2008, Forney Rotary Club paired up with The Forney Police Department to create a local Santa Cop Program. Santa Cop is an organization that can assist local families whom were nominated by the community during the holiday season. Christmas 2008 was our first year for the program and we feel it was a great success.
Santa Cop delivered a turkey or ham with a box of additional food, toys and clothing for each child in the home. Ages ranged from infant to 18. All school age children are enrolled in Forney school. Santa Cop delivered to 46 families with 108 children.
Help out the Forney community by participating the following events benefiting Santa Cops:
Double Daves Pizzaworks: Monday Dec. 7th at 5pm – Santa Cop Elves will be working for tips and toys
Brady’s Burgers: Dec. 11th – Mention Santa Cop at the register
Walmart: Dec. 6th from 9am to 4pm – Fill the car with toys! Donate toys, clothing and food for local families
