This evening the Forney Planning & Zoning Commission meets to discuss 10 different development projects, including the site plan for a Jiffy Lube in Shafer Plaza (I believe Shafer Plaza is across the street from WalMart, near where the Sonic is. Feel free to contact me if that’s not correct, though!) as well as a Chase Bank in that same development, a few lots down.

There’s also an item on the agenda to consider the final plat of lot one of the Place Le Grand planned development. I’ve been hearing a lot about Place Le Grand, but I haven’t gotten any solid details yet. If you’re involved with this development, or know someone who is or might have more information, please get in touch with me! This looks like it could be a huge new development that would bring a lot of new things to Forney, so I’m dying to know more about it.

Update: someone did confirm for me that Shafer Plaza is at Mustang Crossing and that Jiffy Lube will be near the Sonic, just north of it, actually. Thanks for that info!
