It’s been a while since the last post; work has been incredibly busy and there hasn’t been many new things to report - as far as I can tell, all the developments I’ve previously reported on are moving along, but there’s not a whole lot of new activity, since many businesses tend to slow down during this time of year. However, I thought I’d give a quick update about Shafer Plaza - the building that Cold Stone Creamery, the Cingular store and a few other stores will be in looks to be almost finished. Cold Stone and Cingular both already have their signs up on the front of the building, and from what I’ve heard, Cold Stone will be opening on January 27th, 2007!

Shafer Plaza is located on FM-548, just north of Highway 80. Specifically, it’s at 501 North FM-548. Unfortunately, Google and most other online maps, navigation systems, etc. are years behind Forney’s growth, but here’s an approximate map of where Cold Stone and Cingular will be opening up in a month or so. That map places you a little bit too far down FM-548, but if you follow that map and look to your left as you travel up FM-548 away from Highway 80, you’ll see Shafer Plaza and the Cold Stone sign pretty quickly.
