This Saturday: Register to Vote & 10,000 Easter Egg Hunt!

Have you registered to vote since moving to Kaufman County? Or, are you a long-time Forney resident who needs to update their voter registration or obtain a replacement voter registration card? Great news - this Saturday, April 7th, visit the Windmill Farms Information Center between 11AM and 2PM where Kaufman County Deputy Voter Registrar’s will be present with voter registration applications. This is very important, because if you are not registered to vote in Kaufman County by this coming Thursday, April 12th, you will not be allowed to vote in the election this May, which impacts many important issues pertaining to our city and school district.

Also at the Windmill Farms information center on Saturday, at 12:30PM, the kids can join in the 10,000 Egg Easter Egg Hunt, organized by Covenant Generations Church.

All you need is your driver’s license, or know your driver’s license number. The volunteer registrars will have voter registration forms, and you don’t even have to mail the form in, the registrars return them to the courthouse for you. If you can’t make it by the Windmill Farms information center on Saturday (the info center is located just inside the community, which is located at Highway 80 & Windmill Farms Blvd - exit Windmill Farms Blvd, just two exits east of WalMart), there will be volunteer registrars throughout Forney over the next few days, or you can go to City Bank in downtown Forney (120 East Main Street) during their regular hours Monday through Thursday and ask for a volunteer deputy registrar. Registrars are also available at the City Bank Mortgage office located on Highway 80, next to Premier Sports at the Pinson Road exit of Highway 80, on the south side of the highway.

Volunteer deputy registrars will be available at other times and locations later this week, and if I have a chance, I’ll post that as well.

Don’t let another opportunity to participate in shaping the future of Forney pass you by - get your voter registration in by April 12th! Stop by the Windmill Farms information center on Saturday, say hi, and get registered to vote! I hope to see many of you there!
