Forney residents, excited about the new Chick-Fil-A that opens tomorrow, Thursday, July 12th at 6:30AM, have already begun lining up and camping out in the Chick-Fil-A parking lot, in hopes of being one of the first 100 customers of the new store, winning free Chick-Fil-A for a year. Chick-Fil-A is the 2nd new fast food franchise to open in Forney this week alone, and among countless new restaurants and businesses opening up throughout Forney with the record-breaking growth our city is experiencing.

The Forney Chick-Fil-A is located on Highway 80, in front of the Wal-Mart and Lowe’s at the FM-548 exit of Highway 80. Specifically, their address is 900 E US Highway 80, Forney, TX. Unfortunately, like many of the addresses in Forney, this address is not yet available in Google Maps or on most maps, but this map gives the general area Chick-Fil-A is in - it’s located on the north-east side of the FM-548/Highway 80 intersection. Their phone number is (972) 564-3665.

If you aren’t familiar with Chick-Fil-A (and, based on the discussion in our Forney Discussion Forums, apparently there are some people out there who still have not tried a Chick-Fil-A before), they’re a cut-above the average fast food; they serve all types of chicken - chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, chicken strips, chicken breakfast sandwiches & biscuits, etc. Their “Chicken Minis” are a personal favorite - they’re basically small chicken nuggets in a small biscuit and come 4 or 5 to an order, I believe, and are available during breakfast hours.

When new businesses and restaurants are deciding if they want to open in a new area, they often look at the success of the restaurants already in the area - let’s make sure we support our local Forney businesses, so if you don’t make it by Chick-Fil-A tomorrow for the grand opening, check them out this weekend! I know that many Chick-Fil-A locations have family night, and they have a top-notch indoor playground for the kids.
