The Jackrabbits take on Lancaster Friday night at 7:30PM at City Bank Stadium here in Forney. The game, which is already generating quite a bit of excitement here in the Forney discussion forum, has been called by some Forney’s biggest game since going 4A several years ago. Speaking to community leaders Wednesday morning with star players Blake Branton and Peter Smith in tow, Jackrabbit head coach Kevin Rush went as far as to say that this could be one of Forney’s toughest district games this year and said to watch Lancaster’s offense, as they are a big play offense that often executes seemingly impossible plays.

At the start of the season, Lancaster was picked to finish in the top two in the district; the most recent Dallas Morning News rankings place Forney as #9 among all area 4A schools. Fans are strongly encouraged to attend the game to support the Jackrabbits as they go for a record-smashing, undefeated 6-0 streak.
